Radiant Contours isa 9 foot tall outdoor light sculpture that transforms real-world topography into an illuminated vertical landscape. Its surface is made of a 10 by 10 grid of 3D printed terrain tiles, representing the contours of Southwest British Columbia .As light pulses through the layered forms, the landscape appears to breathe, animated by shifting patterns that echo wind and water. The sculpture stands on a 3 by 7 foot cedar platform that houses its 110 volt to 12 volt DC power system. Weather-resistant and self-contained, it installs quickly and requires only a standard outlet. Radiant Contours is designed to be touched. Viewers are encouraged to explore the terrain with their hands, engaging with the work through texture, light, and movement. At night, it becomes a quiet beacon, offering a moment of calm and connection in public space. Ideal for parks, walkways, or transitional urban sites, the piece transforms overlooked areas into immersive experiences. The work is part of an ongoing exploration into spatial storytelling, using digital fabrication and geographic data to create sensory connections to place. Radiant Contours turns physical data into atmosphere, and public space into poetry.
