You Can Draw: Animals (9-12 Yrs)
This popular class for creative kids is all about building skills and confidence as we learn about the fundamentals of drawing. Drawing Fun: Under the Sea (5-8 Yrs)
Who wants to learn how to draw? Drawing is a skill that takes practice just like anything else. These drawing classes for kids are designed to teach a few solid techniques, basic concepts, and improve drawing ability, all while having some fun! Drawing revolves around five basic skills: edges, space, lights and shadows, relationships between drawn items, and putting it all together. Let’s dig in! Supplies included.
Bernadine's Drawing Class: Shapes and Light
No matter what art form you are working in, drawing is fundamental. It is more than learning how to apply pencil graphite to paper. Bernadine’s classes are skills-oriented so that you can walk out of the class and apply what you have learned to the art you are doing. This class is 4 sessions long and will focus on perspective, composition and human form.
Drawing for Beginners
Regardless of what type of visual art you make, at its heart sits drawing. This class will provide you with the tools to transform a flat 2D surface into a 3D drawing through drawing exercises and techniques. Students will learn about how light impacts objects and different surfaces, the use of shadow, and the rules around shapes. Each class starts with a lesson and is followed by a still-life study to apply that new skill. Whether you're completely new to drawing or looking to refresh your skills, this class welcomes all levels of experience. New and returning students are always welcome. No prerequisites.
Painting & Mixed Media
Whether or not you've dabbled in paint before, we have classes that range from beginner to intermediate. You can learn the basics with Introduction classes or go more in-depth with a specialty class. Or if you're looking to work in multiple mediums, we have a variety of Mixed Media classes available!
Creative Minds (5-8 Yrs)

This class provides a studio space in a creative environment with interactive critics in a cheerful atmosphere.
Contemporary Abstract Art
Create your own contemporary abstract art! No prior artistic experience? No problem! This class is designed for everyone, using everyday materials like foam core, butcher's twine, and wall plaster, along with basic art supplies. With a focus on four popular styles—String Art, Textured Plaster, Line Art, and Graphic Layers—you'll explore a variety of techniques to bring your vision to life. Experienced instructor Margarita Hobbes will guide you through each step, demonstrating and offering personalized support. Framing and display options will be discussed. You'll be amazed at what you can create!
Acrylics for Beginners

Next Steps in Painting with Oils
Take your oil paintings to the next level! Designed for those who have completed Oils for Beginners, this class offers a deeper exploration of selecting appropriate mediums, refining application techniques, and mastering the art of colour mixing using oil paints on canvas. With guidance from a master painter, students will have the opportunity to continue to work on the projects they began in Oils for Beginners, or start a new project. Join us and let your creativity flourish as you refine your skills in the vibrant world of oil painting!
Wild Watercolours: Plein-Air Painting
Step into the great outdoors and explore the diverse world of plein-air watercolour painting. Learn various styles and techniques as you capture the beauty of nature on canvas. Enjoy refreshing walks led by expert artist Homa Khosravi, and immerse yourself in the joy of painting the world around you, whether it’s landscapes, waterscapes, botanicals, or architecture. If weather does not permit an outdoor session, this class will take place in-studio. Some sessions may take place at an offsite location. This class will take place outside. Please dress for the weather.
