PoMoArts is proud to showcase local, regional, and national artists in our contemporary gallery. We accept gallery exhibition proposals on an ongoing basis and submissions for group exhibitions periodically.

Artist Call: 2027 Ceramic Artist in Residence Program

Are you an emerging ceramic artistready to deepen your practice? PoMoArts invites applications for our Ceramic Artist in Residence (CAIR) program. This 6-month residency supports artists in the development of a cohesive body of work for an exhibition through studio access, mentorship, research, and community engagement. We are seeking artists with strong technical experience, a commitment to artistic growth, and an interest in contributing to our vibrant and collaborative studio community.

Artist Call: If Not Now (Annual Open Call Group Exhibition)

If Not Now is PoMoArts’ 2027 open call group exhibition asking how our futures are shaped by the choices we make today. We invite artists to consider this idea through work that engages with the challenges, possibilities, and realities of our present moment. Themes may include environment, technology, identity, social responsibility, change, and other ideas that speak to the futures we envision.

We welcome submissions in all forms, including painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, video, performance, and a wide range of visual and experimental practices. We encourage works that are immersive or participatory.

Exhibition Dates:
January 21 – March 7, 2027

Ongoing Exhibition Proposals

We are seeking compelling solo or group exhibitions across all disciplines, including painting, sculpture, textiles, photography, digital and performance art, installation, ceramics, and more! Proposals with an immersive or participatory element are encouraged.

This is an opportunity to showcase your work within a vibrant, community-connected arts organization that values bold ideas and meaningful artistic experiences to reflect and engage our diverse community.

Artist Call FAQs

What Should I Submit?

The Gallery at PoMoArts is seeking proposals for group and solo exhibitions featuring a wide variety of artistic mediums, including, but not limited to, drawing, painting, print media, photography, sculpture, ceramics, textile art, digital art, audio/video performance, site-specific installations, and performance art. Proposals including a participatory element are encouraged.

Who Can Submit a Proposal?

Proposals are encouraged from both emerging and established artists and artist groups.

How are Proposals Evaluated?

Exhibition proposals are evaluated based on theme cohesion, relevance, community impact, diversity of mediums, and inclusion of non-derivative artworks.

There is no fee for submitting a proposal.

Ongoing Exhibition Proposals are received and reviewed on a continual basis. For annual artist calls, please see the posted submission deadlines.

We appreciate all submissions, but only those selected for consideration will be contacted.

All artwork is available for purchase unless indicated, with 30% of all artwork sales retained by PoMoArts and 70% of each sale going to the artist.

If your artwork is not for sale, you may indicate this with “NFS” (Not for sale) on the submission form.
