Mixed Media: Express Yourself!

Join us for a workshop focused on creative self-expression! This workshop fosters self-discovery as you explore your own ideas and preferences, boosting confidence and instilling pride in your creations through drawing, painting, and mixed media collage. This is a great workshop to get to know yourself and each other! It is open to all skill levels; no previous artistic experience required. Discover the power of art to bring your group closer together!

Duration: 1-1.5 hours

Painting: In Tandem

Bring your group to PoMoArts for an inspiring workshop where you'll be guided through a painting experience. This workshop encourages you to trust your intuition, identify similarities and celebrate differences, all through a simple and profound art exercise involving paint and a canvas. This workshop can include a mix of working collaboratively and individually. It is open to all skill levels; no previous artistic experience required. Experience the joy of playing and creating together!

Duration: 1-1.5 hours

Tactile Art With Clay

Join us to make your own assorted oven-baked clay pieces! Your group will create 3D art based on a theme you choose from our list of options. This is a fun, hands-on activity that utilizes mindful motion! Projects will be ready for pick-up within 2-4 days. Open to all skill levels.

Duration: 1.5 hours

Pricing

All visual arts workshops have a minimum of 8 participants. For groups with 16 or more participants, a second instructor is required, which is reflected in the cost.

Any group smaller than 8 people will still be charged the 8-person minimum. 

1 Hour Workshop

  • 8 – 15 people = $34 per person
  • 16 – 30 people = $38 per person

1.5 Hours Workshop:

  • 8 – 15 people = $36 per person
  • 16 – 30 people = $42 per person

HAND-BUILDING

Mugs or Bowls

Spend fun, hands-on time discovering the fundamentals of hand-building with clay. From pinching to coiling, you will create your very own mug or bowl. Choose a theme, add your personal touches, and enjoy a playful, collaborative experience with friends, family, or coworkers. Perfect for team-building, a creative outing, or anyone looking to make a unique and functional piece of ceramic art to take home!

HAND-BUILDING

Shallow Bowls or Plate with a Theme

Create your own wide, open bowl or plate and let your creativity shine! Choose a theme—nature, animals, or something completely wacky—and decorate your piece to match. You’ll also have the option to use silicon molds to add themed shapes or characters to your bowls or plates, making your design even more playful and personalized. Using hand-building techniques, you’ll shape, design, and personalize a unique piece of ceramic art that’s both functional and full of personality. This workshop is perfect for exploring color, texture, and playful design while making something you’ll be proud to take home.

Sculpted Creatures

Bring your imagination to life with clay! Using hand-building techniques like pinching and coiling, you’ll create your own unique monsters or whimsical characters. Add quirky features, expressive details, and personalities all their own—plus, use playful tools and molds to enhance your designs. This hands-on workshop is perfect fora creative, laughter-filled experience with friends, family, or colleagues, leaving you with a one-of-a-kind piece of ceramic art full of character.

Hand-Painted Tiles

Discover the joy of transforming simple ceramic tiles into one-of-a-kind artworks. In this fun, hands-on workshop, participants will learn how to paint and decorate ceramic tiles using underglazes and various brush techniques. You can choose between 4tiles of 4.25" x 4.25" or 2 tiles of 6" x 6", depending on whether you’d like to create smaller individual pieces or slightly larger designs. Whether you create a decorative piece, a coaster set, or a small wall art, you’ll explore color, pattern, and personal expression.

WHEEL-THROWING

Cups & Bowls

Join us for a hands-on, team-building experience as you learn the art of wheel throwing to create your own cups or bowls. Guided by an experienced instructor, you’ll spin, shape, and bring your pieces to life, exploring form, texture, and personal expression. Afterward, your creations will be trimmed, glazed, and fired—you’ll get to choose from a variety of glazes to make each piece uniquely yours. Perfect for connecting with friends, family, or colleagues in a creative and supportive environment, and leaving with a one-of-a-kind ceramic keepsake to celebrate your shared experience.

Pricing

All Ceramics workshops have a minimum of 6 participants. For Hand-Building groups with 11-20 participants a second instructor is required and groups with 21-30 people a third instructor is required, which is reflected in the cost.

Any group smaller than 6 people will still be charged the 6-person minimum. 

1-5 Hours Hand-Building Workshop

  • 6-10 people = $48 per person
  • 11-20 people = $50 per person
  • 21-30 people = $44 per person

2 Hours Wheel-Throwing Workshop (Maximum 10 participants)

  • 6-10 people = $75 per person

Is there a minimum or maximum group size?

Yes—private group workshops have specific size requirements. Please check the workshop details when booking to ensure your group fits.

Are materials included in the private group workshop fee?

Yes! All necessary materials are included, so your group can fully enjoy the creative experience.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 4 weeks in advance. Ideally, 5–8 weeks ensures availability and allows ample time for planning and customization.

What if we need to reschedule or cancel?

Please notify us as soon as possible. Cancellation policies vary, but note that refunds cannot be issued within seven days of your scheduled program. We’ll work with you to find the best solution.

Can we customize the private group workshop?

Absolutely! Our workshops are flexible and can be tailored to your group’s interests, skill levels, or theme preferences. Many events offer a variety of project options to choose from at the time of booking. For more extensive customization, an additional fee may apply.
