Kacey Hughes’ Post Anthropocene presents an imaginative museum of the future, envisioning our contemporary world as if unearthed and examined through the lens of ancient anthropological artifacts.

The Anthropocene refers to the current geological era, one defined by the lasting imprint of human activity on the planet. In this site-specific installation, Hughes speculates on the material remnants that may persist beyond this era. Combining industrial by-products like plastic and concrete with organic forms, the exhibition explores cycles of decay and regeneration, prompting reflection on human presence and what we leave behind.
