
Yeonmi Kim's exhibition Polyunethical addresses sustainability, consumer culture, and environmental stewardship using reclaimed materials and discarded plastic. Drawing from her background in fashion and interior design, Yeonmi sews discarded single-use plastic into patterned textiles and forms. Polyunethical draws on Yeonmi's experience of living in harmony with nature, while prompting reflection on our shared responsibility to the environment.

Yeonmi Kim was raised in Seoul, South Korea, and received a BFA before working in the fashion industry the ninterior design, while pursuing multidisciplinary art and craft work, including painting and wood work. She and her husband operated custom made wood furniture studio in Korea.
She immigrated to Canada in 2013and now works as a visual artist based in qathet (Powell River), BC.
