Artist Damian George Stalaston will be carving a house post live and the community will be invited to come view the carving practice. There will be someone onsite to interact with the public to answer questions and talk about the project

About the Artist:

Damian George began studying the work of traditional artists at a very young age, with a particular interest in the Haida and Tlingit styles. He apprenticed under Walter Joseph and Jerry Baker. As the grandson of Chief Dan George, Damian, has been strongly influenced by Northwest Coast teachings and traditions. For his strong commitment to Native culture and spirituality he was honored with the prestigious Platinum Eagle Feather award. His prints are available in limited edition here at Coastal Arts.
