This year, Art 4 Life will be on display during our Culture Days Activities, tying together the importance of art in a community, and the value of artistic education for youth. This exhibition is geared toward the young and the young at heart to generate cultural awareness, active participation and discussion, and cultivate artistic growth in our community. Your Shoe, My Shoe: A Micro-Epic Play
October 5th, 2019 | October 10th, 2019 | October 19th, 2019
Appropriate for all ages, Your Shoe My Shoe is a fun 30-minute performance jam packed with song and dance! Explore themes such as friendship, expressing and managing emotions, courage, and cooperation through music, songs, and movement.
If today, your life was flipped upside down and everything you were comfortable with suddenly changed, how would you react? Would you feel sad, confused, excited, angry, exhilarated, or happy? Everyone has their own ways of managing change and different situations. It is important to stay positive and trust that life always finds a way to bring us closer to the truth. Join Zapa and Baby Cakes as they navigate their way through a world they have never lived.
The tale begins as a regular old school day for Zapa and Baby Cakes – however, a mysterious package has other plans for them. Their world is turned upside down by a pair of magical red boots. Follow Zapa and Baby Cakes in a world of ridiculousness, mania, and heartfelt emotion. The world is a little less lonely with a friend you didn’t know you had, especially if they have a donut.
