Biography

Born and raised in Vancouver, Julia’s art work is influenced by her South Asian heritage.  Julia has always been interested in the therapeutic benefit through art.  She first began to focus on hand built clay work while in high school.  She later studied wheel thrown pottery at various venues such as the Surrey Arts Center, Port Moody Art Center and Metchosin International Summer School of the Arts.  Julia is proud to be Port Moody Art Center’s 2018-2019 Artist in Residence and is very excited to present her Solo Exhibition in May 2019!
