Christine Lim-Labossière is a Port Moody Sacred Artist originally from Singapore. She fell in love with sacred art when she visited the museums and galleries in Moscow, Russia in 2004. Her passion for Byzantine Iconography led her to give up her job as a Media CEO to pursue sacred art full time. She has attended the Iconography Arts Institute in Mount Angel, Oregon and has trained under Frank C Turner at the Esplanade Art Studios. Christine paints in both oil and egg tempera with gold leaf, and has a BA in Arts and Social Sciences from the National University of Singapore. Her recent icon of The Nativity of Christ was commissioned by the Archbishop of Vancouver for his 2017 Christmas card. Her sacred artworks have shown in the Epiphany Sacred Arts Guilds shows in 2016 and 2018 and at Port Moody Arts Centre’s exhibitions in 2016 and 2017. Her works reside in private homes in Asia and Canada and in the John Paul Centre Pastoral Centre in Vancouver, Canada.
