Made to Fly Design
I used to teach Woodshop at high schools in the UK before moving to Vancouver to study Theology. Now I am in the process of starting my new social venture called 'MADE TO FLY DESIGN' that seeks to 'Transform Broken Materials into Beautiful Products.' I enjoy using locally sourced, reclaimed materials that are unwanted or surplus; such as pallets and fence panels. I am particularly interested in maximizing on the beauty of the weathered parts of these materials to make signage, wall art, candle holders and message boards that inspire and make people feel good. I would eventually like to run therapeutic mentor workshops for young people going through 'tough times' so they can experience the benefits of using their hands to be creative. I have included an image of my vendor table as an example of the range of word art that I produce.
