Ysabella Choung works as a full time ceramic artist and graphic designer, as well as illustrator with great desire for learning creativity in diverse fields. She specializes in functional pieces for daily use, as well as decorative sculptural work. Specializing in abstract, organic, whimsical and mysterious forms, the ceramic artist and graphic designer, as well as illustrator Ysabella Choung has shown her work throughout Canada and in many different parts of the world.
When you look at her pieces, you can see that there’s more than artistry at work. You will also notice an emphasis on compositional elements such as lines, shapes, textures and negative space, as well as a deep knowledge of colour.
Ysabella is recognized as an asset to her community; she offers lessons at her private studio and shop, Spatial Art Studio, in Port Moody. She is actively involved in many of the local art events and is a member of the Tri-City Potters, Gallery of BC Ceramics and other groups. She is passionate about facilitating the creative process and sharing her love and passion of art with others.
