Julia Nygra CAIR 2018 2019 portrait

Born and raised in Vancouver, Julia’s art work is influenced by her South Asian heritage and life on the West Coast. She first began to focus on hand built clay work while in high school. She later studied wheel thrown pottery at various venues such as the Surrey Arts Center, Port Moody Art Center and Metchosin International Summer School of the Arts. Julia is proud to be Port Moody Art Center’s 2018-2019 Resident Artist and is very excited to present her Solo Exhibition on May 2nd 2019. She will explain her art and journey at the “Artist’s Talk” on May 23, 2019!
