Painting in my passion. It is a way that I can relieve myself from life stress and express myself. It is a kind of meditation for me. When I start painting, I leave my problem behind, separate myself from surrounding environment and fill with a special kind of feeling that is hard to explain, but when I am done I fill that I am relieved and refreshed. I start my painting with a very general idea. As I continue, the details come to my mind, I translate them into colors and lines and then print them on the painting medium. Nothing is planned and everything happens naturally. My paintings are my conversation with my audience using colors and lines instead of words. I believe this is a better way to communicate with audience as an image could worth a thousand words.
I was Born and grown up in Tehran, Iran. I was interested in painting from the early childhood and started learning painting professionally while I was only 11 years old under the instruction of Master Ali Ashraf Vali. Due to my interest and talent, I could learn fundamentals of drawing and painting very quickly. I continued attending Master Vali courses until the age of 22 and learnt painting in oil, pastel, acrylic and Conté in different styles. In 2006, I joined Master Mahmoud Samandarian classes, and learnt watercolor painting for three years. I have also been teaching painting to different age groups since 2003. My painting styles are realism, impressionism and combination of both. In 2011, I moved to Vancouver, BC, Canada. I got involved in Vancouver art community and had several exhibitions since then. I am also an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.
